World Hypertension Day: FAJIM Foundation Conducts Free Medical Tests for Lagos Residents World Hypertension Day is a day designated and initiated by The World Hypertension League, which is itself an umbrella to organizations of 85 national hypertension societies and leagues. The day was initiated to increase the awareness of hypertension. In commemoration of the World Hypertension Day, a non- governmental organization, FAJIM Medicare Foundation on 15th May 2021, made a gesture of free medical outreach to residents of Ilasamaja, Mushin, Lagos. In the process, over 140 people were had the privilege of being tested for different types of ailments that include hypertension, diabetes, hepatitis and HIV. Women also had opportunity of having a clinical breast examination for cancer while men equally got screened for prostate cancer.
